Amul, Railways and other Sponsors are encouraging the dedication of the Indian Contingents at Rio Olympics.

Lifetime training puts a show in Olympics for just a few seconds.  Olympics is a platform to showcase each countries best of the best talent. Pierre de Coubertin (founder of modern Olympic Games) said –“The most important thing in the Olympic Games is not winning but taking part; the essential thing in life is not conquering but fighting well.”


In India, Prime Minister Modi meets Indian Contingent and wished them good luck for their performance. The Indian team is filled with high spirits and morale to perform their best of their ability in the Olympics.   
Rio Olympics and India:
More than 10,000 ardent athletes will participate from August 5-21, 2016 in Rio Olympics, Brazil.  206 countries will compete against each other across 28 Olympics sports. For the first time in the history of Olympics, a team of 10 Highly Talented Refugees will be competing with their rivals.  Kosovo and South Sudan will be participating for the first time
Over the years, there is increasing number of Indian qualifying participants. In Rio 2016, the number rose to 120 athletes compared to 56 in Beijing 2008. Indians are gradually building a better image in the worlds sports. However comparing with the world players participation, , United States is representing with 552 participants, Germany with 420, China with 400 participants, Great Britain with 372 and many more participants from other countries.
More than a billion tune to see the opening of the Rio Olympics. The Indian team was led by Abhinav  Bindra, proud flag bearer of the Indian team.  Competing with Best of the world needs much dedication, high class training, mental strength and financial backup to match the world standards.
Sponsors and Awards
The taste of India – Amul is strengthening the Indian Olympic movement in Rio. India’s largest diary brand,Amul sponsors 1 crore to the Indian Olympic Association (IOA). Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation Managing Director, R S Sodhi, said “There is a synergy between Amul and athletes as milk is nature's original energy drink and plays a pivotal role in building the physical and mental strength of the athletes. Amul is committed to strengthening the Olympic movement in India and encourage the young generation from all over the country to take up sports.”

First time, IOA has hired a third party to manage sponsorships. Rising popularity of sports has entrusted the talented teams with the sponsors to increase morale and confidence of the players. Sports Management Company IOS and Entertainment are entrusted to promote the sportsman spirits of the Indian athletes.
The brands associated with Indian Olympics are Edelweiss, Reliance, Amity University, Tata Salt, Li-Ning and Herbal Life. This time Star Sports, the official broadcaster of the Olympics in India, has five on-air sponsors -- LIC, Indian Oil Corp, Amazon, Bajaj Electricals and Amul. While Genpact signed up an MOU with Prakash Padukone and Geet Sethi-backed Olympic Gold Quest to support the preparation of Indian women athletes for Rio 2016. Nike is sponsoring three athletes -- Deepika Kumari, Rani Rampal and Poovama. LimeRoad, an e-commerce venture presented a new pair of spike shoes to athlete Dutee Chand, who is set to compete in the 100m sprint at the Rio 2016 Olympics.
Railways Contribution:
Jeff Fenech rightly said "An Olympic medal is the greatest achievement and honor that can be received by an athlete.
Indian Railway, Minister Suresh Prabhu proudly announces Rs 1 crore award for the Gold Medal, Rs 75 lakhs for Silver medalist and Rs 50 lakhs for bronze winners. The largest rail network in Asia also rewards 30 lakhs who manages to reach the top 8 finish and 5 lakhs for participating in Olympics. In total, 35 athletes from Indian Railways have made their entry to Olympics. It clearly shows that Railways are putting extraordinary efforts to harness the skill of an individual in sports. In order to appreciate and motivate the players, Suresh Prabhu has announced a bouquet of incentives, promotions and cash awards to the Railway Athletes.   
Finally to promote an optimistic image, and to enhance the enthusiasm, Goodwill Ambassador is actively engaged in promoting the sportsmanship with Hashtags like #JeetoRio, #MakeIndiaProud, # iAmTeamIndia. Salmon Khan, National Icons like Sachin Tendulkar, Abhinav Bindra , Reliance group Nita Ambani  with several other Indians are present in Rio to cheer the Indian Olympic contingent
